THE BLASES
Someday someone will submit some appropriate  and
fitting copy for this website. Now it's just short of
astounding that a page dedicated to this band even exists.
The Blases created some great music and great memories
for those that lived through the advent and apex of the
indie/alternative rock scene of the 80's and 90's.
There is poetry in the history of this New Jersey band that
echoes that of countless others from this time playing at
their own Court Tavern,MelodyBar,Patrick's,City
Gardens,CBGB's,StonePony,Green Parrot or Maxwells all
across the United States of the Reagan Era.
The peak of fame being opening slots for the slightly more
nationally well known  punk and pop heroes interspersed with
great press, plenty of college  and alternative rock radio airplay,
the occasional MTV appearance and plenty of free beer.
